Fold Up QM2 Deck Plans

As you know, the standard QM2 'deck plan' that you are issued onboard is a side view / cut away diagram. The diagram is useful in most cases, and it will get you to the general area of where you need to go. However, it always annoyed me a bit that it was a cutaway diagram, and not the detailed deck plans that you get in the brochure.

It turns out that the German guests get a different version of the portable deck plan, that has the 'top view' that I prefer. The only drawback is that it's in German, and not English.

This may be common knowledge, but I only found out about it when I saw someone head of me in line at the pursers desk getting a copy of it.

What has always amazed me is the disappearing mast on QM2. If you look in the brochure at the deck plans there is "side view" of QM2 at the top of the page but without a mast. The "side views" QV and QE have masts but not QM2.

And it also vanishes on the front cover, once again, QV and QE have masts but not poor old QM2...

I know, I'm a nerd/geek...
