Thanks for sharing your photos. BTW, I used to live a few blocks west from the Flatiron Building (photo 62) in a brownstone at 452 W. 23 St., and my uncle used to work in the Met Life Building which is just across Madison Square from it.
May I add copies of your Sequoia photos to those in my photobucket, please?
And if POTM ever has a f.o.g. topic, your photos 138,139,140 will win.

It was warm all the way across, even though we couldn't see anything most of the time! Paul help yourself to the photos.

Great photos, thanks for sharing them.

Looks like someone enjoyed the ball pit in the play zone... and the deck 6 play area :-)

I also enjoyed looking at the NYC photos, since I don't tend to look at NYC from a tourist perspective. I think I need to go check out the Toys R Us in Times Square one of these days, if only to see that Lego Empire State Building. Perhaps when my daughter is just a bit older.

Do you recommend Top of the Rock? Photos you took from there looked great.

I also liked photo 116, of the NYC Skyline. When you took the photo, I was in the cylindrical looking building that you have right in the center of the photo.

Top of the Rock was brilliant! Well worth doing.

The ferris wheel was fun, its $4.00/person. We were there right at opening time and got straight on. Leo loved it. He wanted to go on again, but we discovered that our cards weren't working so we had to hightail it back to the hotel to get our cellphones to call our banks in the UK and let them know we were in the US! Grrr!

I hope you waved to us!

Good to know, we'll have to check both of those out. It's been about 10 years since I last "played tourist" in NYC, so I think it's about time for that again.

We also enjoyed the 'Top of the Rock' with it's fantastic views. We even got pictures of the Saga Ruby down on the Hudson.

We use our British bank card while travelling in the UK, but a few years ago, I noticed that it did not work at the ATMs in Europe (luckily my Canadian card did). On my return home, I enquired of the bank, why this was so. They told me that for security reasons, they block the cards for overseas use unless you tell them you are going. They did not seem to see the merit of informing their customers of this first though! Now, I have to inform them in advance if I want to use the card outside the UK.

Graham.

James has used this card outside the uk before, including in the US, so we didn't think to inform them! Lesson learnt.
